Modernization Tool can be used by a client Intel PC, working on a Windows 2000 or XP operating system and connected to an iSeries.
The data for the analysis and conversion are stored either in the client or in the database of the iSeries.
On the other hand, Modernization Tool gives the chance of obtaining a Java application ready to be installed and ran on an open environment without any dependency from the iSeries, with the only need to migrate the data to an open SGBD, task that is also carried out by Modernization Tool.
Modernization Tool is based on a SWING and SWT graphic interface with a very simple and intuitive use. This graphic user interface will guide the user for the different functionalities and options without any complication or difficulty.
